Kenny Stefbert Sargeant, Jr.

January 3, 1992 — October 22, 2018

Kenny Stefbert Sargeant, Jr., at 26 years old, passed away in a tragic accident on Monday, October 22, 2018. Kenny was born on January 3, 1992 in Brooklyn, New York to his loving parents, Olivia and Stefbert Sargeant.

Kenny was often affectionately referred to as the Juiceman. This nickname originated from a story from Kenny's toddler years and was coined by the Wilkin Family who on occasions-filling in for Garitha and Ophelia, his grandmothers, cared for Kenny as babysitter.
"Mamma, I want juice!", Kenny would say like a stuck-record whenever Mamma, legally known as Phyllis asked what he wanted.

Another affectionate nickname is KenBush. His Mom charmingly called him that to signify his arrival into this world during the President Bush era. Kenny, Juiceman and KenBush are all his, and we will forever feel his triple impact.

Since we are on the topic of his childhood years, I will just continue from here as we take a trip down memory lane. Although born in Brooklyn, New York, his pre-school days were joyously spent at Maude Cross Preparatory School in Nevis. A true Nevisian!

When it was time to make the shift to high school, Kenny attended the Charlestown Secondary School completing up to his junior year before transitioning to North Carolina graduating high school there in 2009.

Taking from the traits of a strong business woman and a supportive gentleman, Kenny , the second son of those talented individuals, aimed for greater purposes and a means of financial stability while retaining his adventurous personality and thirst for modern knowledge. Seeking higher education, Kenny held a degree in Information Technology and was enrolled with Valencia College to pursue a higher degree.

He had been employed by the retail giant, Costco for the past seven years as a diligent and hard-working employee. In fact, it is quite interesting to note that this untimely accidental death occurred while he was on his way to work. Awesome Ambition!

Overall, Kenny was a handsome young man with acute intelligence; a helpful fellow and loving young man who will be loved and missed dearly. KenBush had a warm personality and was always smiling – with those two little eyes blending in, and before long you too catch the smiling fever.

Kenny is survived by his mother, Olivia Sargeant; father, Stefbert C. Sargeant; brother, Kyle S. Sargeant; brother, Keyon S. Sargeant; nephew, Trezdon J. Sargeant; nephew, Jahyer K. Sargeant; niece, Reign Olivia Sargeant; grandmother, Garita Hicks; grandmother, Ophelia Sargeant; aunt, Jacinth Sargeant; aunt, Deslyn Sargeant; aunt, Lavette Sargeant; uncle, Lenrie Sargeant; great-aunt, Gwendolyn Jones; great-aunt, Faustina Richardson; great-aunt, Margarita Caines; great-aunt, Maude Allen; great-uncle, Livingston Sargeant; great-uncle, Patrick Liburd; great-uncle, Wellington Liburd; great-uncle, Vincent Liburd; additional Mathew, Sargeant, and Jones family members; as well as many other relatives and friends, all who will miss him dearly.

I leave with you, a few words spoken genuinely from the heart and acknowledging the life of Kenny Sargeant.

If we have been pleased with life,
we should not be displeased with death,
since it comes from the hand
of the same master.
-This is credited from Michelangelo, a famous artist/sculptor

Finally, some sentimental words of comfort:

At the rustling of leaves and the beauty of Autumn,
We remember him.
At the beginning of the year and when it ends,
We remember him.
When we are weary and in need of strength,
We remember him.
When we are lost and sick at heart,
We remember him.
When we have joys we yearn to share,
We remember him.
When we have decisions that are difficult to make,
We remember him.
When we have achievements that are based on his,
We remember him.
As long as we live, he too shall live,
for he is a part of us, as we remember him.

May God bless Kenny and grant him eternal peace.
