Larry Edward Mooney

Larry E. Mooney, 85, of Winter Park, Florida passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020 at his home of almost 50 years. He was born February 16, 1935 in Kansas City, Missouri to Edward and Alice Mooney. Graduating from Pittsburg State University in Kansas he later received a Master's Degree in Mathematics from the University of Florida. He worked for Martin Marietta in Orlando, Florida for almost 30 years and retired with numerous awards.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather he is survived by his wife, Linda Mooney, his children, Kevin Mooney, Naomi Mooney, Gregory Chastain and Cindy Vice; 4 grandchildren, and 3 great grand children. As a born again Christian, he was a long time member of Orlando Baptist Church in Orlando, Florida where he attended, taught Sunday School and ushered. He loved the Lord and his family.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Friday, July 31, 2020 at the Newcomer Funeral Home and Chapel (Winter Park Chapel), 3806 Howell Branch Road, Winter Park, Florida 32792.
