Bocchiaro, Lauretta A.- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Lauretta A. Bocchiaro, age 92 of Winter Park, who passed away on March 7, 2005 will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, March 14, 2005 in the chapel at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Reverend Richard M. Walsh as Celebrant. Mrs. Bocchiaro was born July 31, 1912 in New York City. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Bocchiaro, Sr., and is survived by her son Joseph Bocchiaro, Jr. (Chris) of Hamburg, New York and her daughter, Estelle L. Mignardi (Fred) of Winter Park, Florida, six grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bocchiaro graduated from Hunter High School in New York City in 1929. She attended Drake Business School in New York City and worked at the Boss Glove Co. She later worked at Namm's Dept. Store as a bookkeeper. She was a Senior Claims Examiner for the New York State Unemployment Insurance Division for 16 years. When she retired, she moved to Florida in 1973 and was very active in various organizations. She was president of AARP, Winter Park Chapter, Editor of Newsletter, ran for Silver Hair Legislature, President of Welcome Wagon and President of Pocahontas. Interment will take place at St. Charles Cemetery, Pinelawn, Long Island, New York.
