Lavon Louise O'Steen

Lavon L O’Steen, 87, of Winter Springs, Florida, formerly of Kissimmee, Fort Myers and Cape Coral, died July 29, 2024. She was born in Johnson City, TN and graduated from Science Hill High School. 

As an Executive Secretary, she worked for Harris Corp, Bendix, and JPL during the early years of the space program. She continued to serve in that capacity for several Engineering and Commercial Development companies. For many years after her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. 

She previously served as an officer in the Junior Women’s Club and was an avid reader and crossword puzzle enthusiast. She was known as a kind and loving woman with a lively sense of humor. 

Her husband Paul, her parents Jerry & Minnie Flynn and her brother Stan preceded her in death. 

Survivors include her daughter Patricia and her husband Ted Reynolds of Winter Springs, Granddaughter Alexandra of Houston and Grandson Jarrod of Winter Springs plus many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and caregivers.

 At the family’s request there are no services planned. Interment is at Palm Cemetery Winter Park Florida.
