Lawrence Alan Zurcher, age 71 of Orlando, passed away Monday, February 22 at his residence. He was born in Red Bank, NJ on July 17, 1944 to the late Lester A. Zurcher and Margaret J. Adams Zurcher. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the US Army. As a graduate of Ohio State University and Ohio University, he earned both a degree in electrical engineering and an MBA. He retired from Orbital Sciences Corporation of Dulles, VA in 2010.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nancy Tinsler and brother, Donald Zurcher. He is survived by his wife Marty E. Dodson Zurcher; daughter, Wendy J. (Francesco) Grilla; grandchildren, Sophia Grilla and Luca Grilla; sister, Joan Zurcher (John Carlissi) of Pennsylvania; sister, Anne (Bruce) Brethauer of Ohio; and bother David (Mary Kay) Zurcher of Michigan; in laws, Gene and Charlotte Dodson and many sisters-in-law,brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and extended family and friends.
