Leira Lucille Lambert, 76 of Zellwood passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006.
Born in Kentucky, she moved to Central Florida as a child. She grew up at Magnolia Farms in Orlando where she was a competitive horseback rider. She was a school teacher for 20 years in Seminole County and a graduate of Stetson University, DeLand. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Colonial Dames and loved to travel.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Elmer E. Jones and Allie Cox Jones and her husband Jerome Lambert in May 2005. She is survived by her daughter Jeanne Sachse and her husband Tim of Orlando; son, Michael Lambert of Orlando; grandchildren, Timothy, Parris and Dallas Sachse all of Orlando; great grandson, Jonathan Sachse of Orlando.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006 in the Chapel of Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service.
