Lenore Louise Serstad, 92, of Orlando, Florida, passed away April 3, 2024.
"Lennie" was born in Mitchell, South Dakota on January 30, 1932, and lived in Illinois and Wisconsin before settling in Fort Wayne, Indiana for most of her adult life. She was married to William Serstad on September 3, 1955, and graduated from Copley School of Nursing in Aurora, Illinois. Lenore worked as a nurse at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana for 37 years. As a devoted follower of Christ, her career as a nurse arose out of her faith and love for others. Throughout her life, she had a love for reading, swimming, and travel.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Norman Burgdorf. She is survived by her husband, William Serstad, her sisters Carey (Alan) Morrisson and Rhoda Olson, her children Lynn (Jennifer Fray) Serstad, Karen Cullen, and Jim (Sue) Serstad and grandchildren Mackenzie Pensel, Weston Cullen, Garrett Serstad, Jenna Eizenga and Ian Serstad.
