Leo Simmons Jr.

Mr. Leo Jerome Simmons Jr. was born September 15, 1968 in Pensacola, FL to Leo Jerome Simmons Sr. and Deloris Iona Haynes. He was married in soul and spirit to Julie E. Simmons of Chuluota, FL. To this union one child was born: Akeesha Simmons of Chuluota, FL. Mr. Simmons worked for Lockheed Martin and held a Bachelor of Science of Agriculture Degree from the University of Arizona and a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mr. Simmons was a devoted father and friend to many. He believed in helping others and devoted his time to tuitoring children/boys and Girls Club and Habitat for Humanity. He will be missed by family, friends and neighbors who's lives were touched by his kindness, love and generosity.
He leaves to cherish his memories: Three sisters, Kawanza Spencer of Pensacola, FL, Courtney Smith and Nejashmen Page both of Detroit, MI; four brothers, Nathan Watson of Titusville, Fl, Bryce Watson of Lathrup Village, MI, Jayson Smith of Lansing, MI and Shawn Thomas of Inkster, MI; aunt, Ellen Cole, uncle, Peter Haynes; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Friday, July 15, 2005 in the Chapel of Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando. 407-277-4227. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 PM Friday prior to the service. Messages of condolences may be left at
