Leokadia Tomaszewski, age 103, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 in Orlando, FL. She was the widow of the late Julian Tomaszewski.
Leokadia was born in Poland on December 13, 1915; daughter of the late Teofil and Valeria (Rudnicka) Nietubyc. She loved to cook, garden and sew. She also loved to travel. She was always there to help her family and loved to do things to make them happy. She was accepting, kind and generous. She came to America 60 years ago with her husband and daughters, and built a beautiful life here.
Leokadia is survived by her three daughters, Albina Wojcik, Honorata Czarny, and Isabel Tomaszewski; three grandchildren, Waldemar Wojcicki, Suzanne Mix, and Kellie Czarny; and eight great-grandchildren, Richard Mix, Jessica Mix, Cora Czarny, Julian Czarny, Justin Wojcicki, Joanie King, Joseph Carroll, and Mary Frances Wojcicki.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her brothers & sisters, Alfred, Szczepan, Regina, Jan, and Stefan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1501 N. Alafaya Trail, Orlando, FL 32828.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd, Orlando, FL 32822.
Entombment will be at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Orlando, FL.
