He was born September 15, 1927 in Brookhaven, Mississippi, the son of Willie and Maybell (Delaughter) Thornhill.
Leon is survived by Sons, Chip Thornhill, Norris Britt; Daughters, Terri Armstrong, Debbie Silverman; Sister, Bess Jackson; Brothers, Willard Thornhill, Pat Thornhill, Allen Thornhill; Grandchildren Mike Armstrong, Josh Silverman, Zach Thornhill, Cassie Thornhill; Great-Grandson, Eli Armstrong.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Sister, Aline Knight, Daughter, Joan Thornhill, Son, Tyke Ballenger.
