Letha Mae Gilleon, 86, of Orlando, FL departed this life and graciously entered the open arms of her Lord and Savior on October 9, 2016.
She was born June 18, 1930 in Orlando, Florida, the beloved daughter of the late Leonard and Edna (Folds) Griner. She will be remembered as a kind and forgiving southern woman who truly enjoyed the beauty of this world. Some of her many hobbies included camping, riding Dad's motorcycle, rocking and singing the babies and grandbabies, but most of all, quality time with her family.
For the majority of her career, she was a bus driver for public schools in the Central Florida area. She also was a wonderful and loving caregiver to her husband, Marvin Jack Gilleon leading up to his passing.
Letha was a woman of faith who attended Brush Arbor Baptist in Orlando.
She leaves memories to be cherished by her two daughters, Donna M. Davis (Gary) and Connie J. Cootz (Bob); four grandchildren, Leslie Le Fave (Steve), Vicki Cootz (Tommy), Darrell Davis, Daniel Davis (Julie); six great-grandchildren, Chris Walden, Tyler Walden, Tiffany Cootz, Jacob Rosenbaum, Grayson Davis, Charlotte Davis; two adoring great-great grandchildren, Ellie Mae Walden and Aubry Walden; as well as many extended family members and friends. Her strong and precious soul will forever remain in our hearts.
Family will greet friends from 12PM to 1PM on Friday, October 14th at Newcomer Funeral Home in Orlando following with a Celebration of Letha's Life to begin at 1PM. Interment will take place at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Winter Park, FL.
