February 21, 1932 — November 19, 2015

Lillyan Joanne Mason, 83, of Tavares, Florida, peacefully passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015. She was surrounded by family.

Joanne was born on February 21, 1932 in Elizabeth, West Virginia to Kenneth and Norma (Dotson) Adams who have both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, C. Jack Mason and her son, Randall Jack Mason.

Joanne was retired from Walt Disney World where she worked for over 12 years as a floral designer and attended Orange Avenue Church of Christ in Eustis, Florida. She and her husband were members of the Lake Beresford Yacht Club for many years and they loved boating. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, sewing and knitting, and most recently she loved to spend her time working on jigsaw puzzles. In the past year, Joanne moved to Mount Dora to be close to her daughter, but most recently, she resided at Brookdale Lake Tavares Assisted Living where she was loved by staff and made some very special friends. She is survived by her daughter, Tonja A. Foote (Kerry); son, Robert A. Mason (fiancée, Melanie); daughter, Lisa J. Glennon (William); brother, Kenneth Lynn Adams (Linda); 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a time and place still to be determined.
