Lois Ann Watkins, of Orlando, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on June 1, 2008. She was born on March 1, 1959, in York, Pa. She was the wife of Barry Watkins. They would have celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on November 5th . She was the mother of Stacy Watkins, who lives at home. She is also survived by her mother, Ruth Unger; a sister, Sandra Knaub; a niece, Elaine Mowrer; and a nephew Jonathan Knaub, all of Lancaster, Pa.
Lois graduated from Dallastown Area High School, Dallastown, PA, and attended York College, Lancaster Bible College, and Valencia Community College. She was most recently employed by Campus Crusade for Christ as an Accounting Analyst.
Lois had a passionate love for Jesus and she was always looking for ways to grow in her faith. She loved contemporary worship and praise music. She and her family were most recently attending Woodbury Presbyterian Church, Orlando.
Lois loved reading and spending time with God. She loved her extended family which includes her brothers-in-law Don Knaub and Adam Watkins; her father-in-law and mother-in law, Bob and Sylvia Watkins; and her grandmother in-law, Sarah Marsh. She especially doted on her grand nieces, Anna Mowrer and Elli Knaub and her grand nephew, Jackson Knaub. She had a special relationship with her cat, Mr. Waffles. She and Barry sponsored a child in Haiti through the "Hope for Haiti Children's Center."
Lois' funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 5th, at Woodbury Presbyterian Church, 1501 Woodbury Road, Orlando, Florida.
