Lorena M. Baker, 87, of Orlando passed away October 8, 2004. She was born January 1, 1917, in Indianapolis, Indiana and moved to Orlando in 1956. Lorena was a housewife and mother. She was employed by W.T Grants (Colonial Plaza) until they closed. She then did what she loved best- she took care of the children of several friends as well as her own grandchildren. Her "no nonsense, I love you" type of approach affected the lives of the many children she cared for. Her legacy will live on in these children. She will be missed. She is a long time member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Community. She is preceded in death by her husband Paul P. Baker. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn D. Kelly and son, James P. Baker; son-in-law, Michael K. Kelly, daughter-in-law, Sandy L. Baker, all of Orlando; four grandchildren; Ange, Jeff, Greg, Steve and six great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday October 13, 2004 at 10:30a.m at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with Father Tom Barrett officiating, 4001 Edgewater Drive, Orlando.
