Lorna Elizabeth Senior

September 18, 1952 — July 5, 2012

Lorna Elizabeth Senior, age 59, lived at 13120 Social Lane, Winter Garden, FL 34787, died on July 5th, 2012 at 5:28pm at her place of residence.

She was born on Sept. 18th, 1952, in Kingston, Jamaica, to a Mr. Christopher Senior and Ms. Phyllis Crump, and moved to England at a young age to spend time with her mother. She left home to pursue a better life for herself, a life of independence, and adventure. She obtained a high school and college degree in London and also completed her AS degree and received her New York Registered Nursing license somewhere around the year of 1978. Her main priority was being a caregiver. That's why she specialized in Neonatal ICU, so she could help raise many of our future young Americans. She met a man named Jean Gauvin around that same time and started her family. They decided to raise their family outside of the city and moved to Garland, Texas. In March of 1981, they had a son named Jean-Eli and later on, in 1986, had a daughter named Natasha.

She had graduated high school and then went on went to receive her Registered Nursing License and she traveled Europe as she was getting her nursing license there and worked her way until she got herself to New York City, the Big Apple, where she hoped to fulfill her dreams finally. While travelling and living in different states, she received her nursing license in each of the states she lived in, New York, Florida, and Texas. She had worked at many major hospitals in the states aforementioned, such as New York Presbyterian Hospital (Columbia), Mount Sinai, Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Fl and spent the latter part of her years working for North Shore Long Island Hospital. She was a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse throughout her entire career, which lasted well over 37 years. She was a Christian at heart and always loved to have her quiet time with the Lord. She had many hobbies, which included, knitting, watching various soaps and reality shows, loved to read, but first and foremost, she loved shopping, no matter what she was buying or the occasion, she always found the perfect sale.

Her survivors include many in the state of Florida. 2 sons (Vernon, Lilburn, GA and Jean-Eli, Winter Garden,FL) 1 daughter (Natasha, Winter Garden, Fl) 5 grandchildren (Shantalaya, Saronjonie, Jordan, Kennedy, and Deion); 3 Great grandchildren (all girls) 2 parents (Mr. Christopher Senior and Ms. Phyllis Crump); 2 brothers and 1 sister; 3 Aunts, (Mervis, Sylvia, and Pat). In addition, she has many cousins and second cousins.
