Louis Edward Sielski, 89 of Orlando passed away Mon. Sept. 29, 2008. He was born Sept. 12, 1919 in Newark, N.J. to Joseph and Thordora Sielski and has been a resident of Orlando since 1958. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1941 to April 1945 and fought for his country in the South Pacific until being honorably discharged . He married his sweetheart, Beatrice Murray on April 7, 1945. She preceded him in death in 1968. He retired from Chemical Central in 1982 and then worked for Goodyings from 1983 until 2005 as a courtesy clerk where he met and married his second wife, Yolondo Cato. She preceded him in death in 2003.
He is survived by his 5 children, Kathleen Parry, Coleen Duffy, Dorothy Harper, Paul Sielski and Nancy Stokes; sister, Florence Babinec; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 PM on Friday, Oct. 3, 2008 in the Chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando. 407-277-4227. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research at www.michaeljfox.org.
