Lucia "Chia" Ortiz, 80, of Orlando, Fla., died Friday, June 2, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at Winter Park Care and Rehabilitation Center. Born June 26, 1942, in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Lucia was the daughter of Ceferino Acevedo and Dimas Torres. Lucia and her husband Jose A. Ortiz celebrated 43 years of marriage on January 25, 2023. Lucia was a homemaker and met Jose in New York.
Surviving in addition to her husband Jose are sons, Osbaldo Lugo and Jose Ortiz, daughter Lily Ortiz, stepdaughters Migdalia Ortiz and Nancy Segarra, and three grandkids, Nicole Ritter, Jiovanni Ortiz and Jose Ortiz.
The viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home at 895 South Goldenrod Road, Orlando, Fl 32822. The service will begin promptly at 1pm. Burial will be at 3pm at Glen Haven Memorial Park at 2300 Temple Drive, Winter Park, Fl 32789.
