Lucille Hairston

Lucille Sierra Hairston, 86, went home to be with Jesus on January 14, 2016 at 11:27 PM. Lucille is survived by ten children: Sondra, Patricia, Wayne, Lucinia, Jacqueline, Otis Jr., Raylena, Maria, Collette, and Toni and forty-four grandchildren and thirty-six great-grandchildren. She was born on October 13, 1929 in Dominica and raised in Brooklyn, New York, which she was a devout Catholic and worked as a nurse. At the time of her passing, Lucille was a resident and homeowner of the Lake Mary, Florida community, where she did volunteer work in soup kitchens and work with homeless throughout her community.
In her lifetime, Lucille ensured that every child was provided for. She continuously opened her home and her heart to those that needed it.

We will miss her gentle kindness, smiling face, and friendship. Lucille will be reunited with her husband, Otis C. Hairston and her children Chyrell and Diane and family and friends that have gone before her.
