Lurlon Marie Buckner

Lurlon Marie Buckner née Jones was born on February 7, 1923 in Cookeville, TN, and died peacefully on May 26, 2017 at her home in Orlando, FL, at the age of 94.
Lurlon met her husband, Orville Eugene Buckner, at the Odd Fellows Home where they both grew up. The couple later married in the chapel at Macdill Army Air Field, raised two sons, and remained together until his death in 1970. Lurlon is survived by her younger son, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom remember with love a woman whose life was characterized by strength, compassion, vitality, and unfailing love.
The family will honor Lurlon's life privately.
