Luz Martinez

Martinez, Luz Maria "Doña Lucy" aka Mama, age 86 of Orlando, parted with the Lord on Wednesday, August 27. Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando. Services will be led by Pastor Antonio Montilla. Our family and friends welcome your presence to her viewing on Tuesday September 2 from 5pm-9pm. Funeral procession to Greenwood Cemetery will take place immediately after the service, which will take place Wednesday September 3 from 12pm-2pm. Mrs. Martinez, "mama" was born on December 23, 1921 in Jayuya, Puerto Rico and is survived by husband Miguel A. Martinez; son Jose F. Ocasio and daughter Gladys Martinez. She is also survived by two granddaughters that were raised as daughters, Damaris Suarez and Dr. Cynthia Ortiz; grandchildren Dennis, Brenda, Tania, Michael A. and great-grandchildren, Jason, Joel, Ruben, E.J., Destin, Justin, Michael, Isaac, Sammy Jonathan, Lenny, Angelo, Michael A., Mineysha, Tiara and great-great granddaughter, Celeste.
