Mae Moore Wise , 89, of Melbourne, Florida passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013.
Mae was born on February 25, 1924 in Long Creek, South Carolina to the late John and Evie (Wilbanks) Moore. She began her career of service at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington DC in 1942. She will be most remembered by her years of volunteer work at Suntree Library in Melbourne, Florida where she was known as the "Book Lady" reading to children. She also did volunteer work at Wuestoff Medical Center and at the Homestead Air Force Base in family services aiding military families in a variety of areas. Mae was of the Methodist Faith
Mae was also preceded in death by her husband, Maj. Charles Wilson Wise and is survived by her sons, Dale Wise, Ralph Wise and Wade Wise brother, Verner Moore and sister, Charlotte Phillips.
