Magdalena Figueroa Avilés, 97, departed this life peacefully on Saturday, May 13, 2017 in Orlando, FL. She was born on November 17, 1919 in Añasco, Puerto Rico to the late Herminio Figueroa and Monserrata Avilés.
Magdalena enjoyed staying active, even up until her later years, she continued to sing, dance, socialize and play BINGO.
She will be remembered as a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Her precious and kind soul will remain in our hearts forever.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Enrique Vázquez Lozano.
A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held 5PM to 6PM on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home in East Orlando with a Celebration of Magdalena's Life to follow at 6PM.
Inurnment will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
