Major Frederick Charles Mueller (retired USAF), age 84, of Altamonte Springs, Florida passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday from lung cancer on December 17, 2017. Fred was born on June 9, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri to parents Bernard Mueller and Iva (Vaught) Mueller.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dolores C. Mueller; son, David (Linda) Mueller, and grandchildren, Danielle (Zach) Schumm, Rachel (Nate) Madera, and Joel Mueller; son, Tom (Glecy) Mueller, and grandchildren, Ezekiel Mueller and Jason (Gisela) Mueller and great-grandson, Jaiden; daughter, Susie (Sean) Large, and grandchildren, Kara (Calvin) Nilles and Josh Large; step-son, Paul (Rebecca) Caronna; step-daughter, Laura (Ken) Eickmeyer; step-daughter, Christine (Roger) Beard; step-daughter, Bernadette (Dave) Davis; 7 step-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many friends, all who will miss him dearly.
Fred was preceded in death by his first wife of 50+ years, Beverly Mueller; his son, Mike Mueller; and his parents, Bernard and Iva Mueller.
Fred loved the outdoors, flying, golfing, fishing and hunting. He was a musician and an avid fan of Jazz and sill played the saxophone and clarinet. He loved watching football, watching old movies and a glass of St. Emilion wine.
He had a giving heart and would always lend a hand to any situation.
He received Christ as his LORD and Savior in the 70's and insured that all his children have salvation. John 11:25-26.?
A visitation will be held from 7:00 - 9:00 PM on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions, 335 E SR 434, Longwood, FL 32750. The funeral service will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 22, 2017, also at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions. Interment will follow at Edgewood/Greenwood Cemetery, 141 South Edgewood Drive, Apopka, FL 32703.
