Marc D. Missan, age 75, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2020.
Marc was born on March 21, 1945 in Hartford, CT, son of the late Edward and Evelyn (Yatkin) Missan. He was a graduate of Bloomfield High School, Class of 1963. After high school, he attended Hartford Institute of Accounting, where he graduated with a degree in Accounting. He went to work for Metropolitan Life Insurance in Clearwater, and later moved to Orlando, FL. He became a Cast Member for Walt Disney World, and was employed by Disney in many different capacities for 42 years. He was very happy to work at what was his favorite place on earth. Marc also worked for FedEx, where he eventually retired from.
Marc was an avid Red Sox fan, and enjoyed visiting casinos across the country. He loved to visit Las Vegas, where he made it a priority to visit four times a year. Marc was very fond of fall in New England, he enjoyed visiting family up north when the weather and leaves would change. He doted on his nieces and nephews; he loved swimming with them, going apple picking, and day trips to Disney.
Marc is survived by his sisters, Robin Thierfeld (Jon) of West Hartford, CT, and Laurie Koss (Bob) of Summerfield, FL; his niece, Cheryl Weisenberg (Howard), his nephews, Steven Thierfeld (Allison), and Brian Thierfeld (Jennifer); and his great niece and nephews, Asher Rosenbaum, Emma Thierfeld, and Cameron Thierfeld.
