Marcelle Kerce Wood, age 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 15, 2022 in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Marcelle was born on August 18, 1941 in Hartsfield, Georgia to parents Eddie Willis Kerce, Sr. and Montine (West) Kerce.
She is survived by her loving husband Riley Wood; beloved children Deborah Mallory, Christian Wood, Allen Wood, Angela Johns, and Danielle Bruehl; siblings Ken Kerce, Stephen Kerce, Laverne Sutton, Auburn Stripling, Cassandra Bassinger, and Kevin Kerce; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a multitude of friends.
She was preceded in death by her son Richard Gregory Flowers; parents Eddie and Montine Kerce; and siblings Wynelle Norman, Larry West, Willis Kerce, and Aubrey Stripling.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 9 PM on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions, 335 East SR 434, Longwood, Florida 32750. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Saint Andrews Chapel, Saint Andrew's Chapel, 5525 Wayside Dr, Sanford, FL 32771. A reception at the church will follow the service. Interment will take place at 11 AM on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
