Margaret Peggy LeBlanc Libersat, 85, went into eternal rest with the Lord on December 24, 2021 surrounded by family in the comfort of her home.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; Simonette P. LeBlanc and Oza Goutierrez; and siblings, Javis LeBlanc, Glory LeBlanc Landry, Gerald (Bud) LeBlanc, and Terry LeBlanc.
She is survived by her husband Henry Libersat, and their seven children; David (Susie), Tony (Linda), Karen (Dale), Mary, Suzanne (Tim), Angela (Butch), Pierre; and three generations of grandchildren.
She touched the hearts of everyone who was blessed to know her. Fondly known as Mom, MoMo, Gam, Nanny, Aunt Peggy, T-Peg, and Dr. Ruth.
She was proud of her Cajun roots and wanted everyone she met to be a part of them. Having beat breast cancer two times, she was a warrior. She never let fear or worry become her identity and thanked Jesus through every adversity in this life.
Before Alzheimer's took over her life, you'd find her in the kitchen cooking with a high ball in hand. She loved to laugh, dance, and live life to its fullest, but most of all she was a safe haven where all who sought refuge from life's ups and downs could experience safety, comfort, and never-ending unconditional love.
As we move on through life's journey, please take with you Peggy's motto she lived by and encouraged all of us to do…. "Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler" - "Let the Good Times Roll!"
Peggy's life will be celebrated on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Saint Mary Magdalen Church. Visitation starting at 10:00 AM and funeral mass at 11:00 AM.
Reception immediately following in the Parish Life Center.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to the two things that impacted her life:
The Alzheimer's Foundation: Alzheimer's Association | Donate to Fight Alzheimer's Disease
National Breast Cancer Foundation: https://www.nationalbreastcancer.org
