Margaro Rosario, aged 89, peacefully passed away on June 12th , 2024. He was born in Ciales, Puerto Rico in 1940 to Margaro Rosario and Monserrate Arocho. Margaro moved to Chicago, Illinois during his teens, where he met and married his beloved Rosa Amelia Santiago on February 8th, 1963. They were blessed with three sons, Billy, Gary, and Danny Rosario, and later welcomed daughters Margarita “Margie” and Rosaida “Saidy” Rosario upon returning to Puerto Rico in 1972.
Margaro was one of eight siblings: his sisters Maria Ortiz, Ana Rosario, Carmen Gloria Rosario, and Aida Rosario, and brothers Angel “El Indio” Rosario, Guillermo Rosario, and Sergio Rosario.
In 1983, Margaro and his family returned to Chicago, where he dedicated many years to working as a truck driver. Upon retiring in 2000, he and Rosa moved to Orlando to be closer to their adult children and grandchildren. Their family continued to blossom with the arrival of grandchildren Yahaira, Gery, Gianni, and Amaury Rosario, along with Joshua Garcia and Markantony Negron, all of whom Margaro adored. Many years later, he would cherish moments with his great-grandchildren, Koa, Bria, Reina Rosario and Lyora Garcia.
Margaro will be remembered for his devotion to family, hard work, and the joy he found in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His life will be honored with a viewing on Wednesday, June 19th and a Mass on Saturday, June 29th at 11am at Good Shepherd Church.
