Maria Lourdes Alvero, loving mother of three, and adoring wife to her husband, Nilo Alvero, went to be with the Lord in the early hours of September 28, 2023 at age 74.
In addition to her husband, Nilo, she is survived by her son, Ramon Alvero; two daughters, Monalie Alvero, and Cynthia Alvero; and her siblings Greg Arellano and Marie O'Saben.
Lourdes (Lulu) was born on February 12, 1949 in Manila, Philippines. She moved to the U.S. with her family in July, 1980.
Lourdes received a Bachelor of Fine Arts, major in Advertising from the Philippine Women's University, Manila. She worked for The Manila Times, California Manifacturing Company, and later the International Monetary Fund in Washington, D.C. retiring in August of 2006.
Lourdes was dedicated to her family and unselfishly gave her care and time to others. She had a profound impact on others with whom she shared the love and faithfulness of the Lord. She was graceful in her ways, beautiful, patient and generous. She fought to maintain her health and manage her health challenges with all the strength she had, to be able to spend more time with her family and loved ones.
We love and miss you dearly!
