Maria Jesus Morales
1936-2020
Maria Jesus Morales, age 84, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at the Advent Health Hospital Hospice in Orlando to be with our god in eternity.
Maria was born on April 17, 1936, in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico; she is the daughter of Manuel Morales and Aquilina Aleman.
In her early life she grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico, along her twelve siblings and her parents. She went to University of Puerto Rico where she achieved an Associate Degree in Secretarial Studies. In 1968, while working in a bank in New York City, she met the love of her life, Nestor Barbosa, and raised her two children, Griselle Barbosa and Edgar Barbosa in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Marichu, as friends and family used to called her, was always a very friendly person who liked to help people and make them feel good. She was a dedicated mother, wife, and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband. Survived by her daughter Griselle; son Edgar; granddaughter, Ashley Piskorski; sisters Victoria Morales and Teresa Morales; brother Jose Luis Morales; and all her nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Winter Park, Florida in October. Exact date will be informed later.
