Mrs. Marian Stella Goodwin, 88 years old, passed away surrounded by her beloved family on Friday, May 6, 2016 in Orlando, Florida. Marian was born on September 3, 1927 in Medina, New York to parents, Charles Culotta and Josephine (Colletti) Culotta.
Marian always had a song in her heart and a beautiful voice. Her family has many fond memories of her singing "Ave Maria" and other opera classics while busily cleaning around the house. She was so proud of being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and greatly cherished all of her family, including her beloved canine companion, Bowzer, who she treated like one of her children. When she wasn't spending time with her family, she could often be found outdoors as she greatly enjoyed gardening. Marian also worked as a child care provider in a daycare for many years where she looked forward to taking care of the babies as if they were her own.
She is survived by her three daughters, Donna L. Forbes (Paul Spindlow), Patricia A. (Bill) Myers and Brenda E. (John) Carr; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Carl Culotta; and her two sisters, Nancy Climenhaga and Anna Bolea.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Culotta, her mother, Josephine Culotta and brother Johnny Culotta.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home in Orlando from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM.
Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery.
