E. Marie "Butch" Edmiston
1943-2022
On January 11,2022 Marie suffered a terrible stroke. On January 14, 2022 she passed due to its effects. She was at peace with all 4 children by her bedside.
Marie was born on September 19,1943 in Port Arthur, Tx. She was the daughter of Neal and Erillas Forbes.
Marie is survived by her younger sister Karen Carter (Hoover, Al), 4 children Michael (Casselberry), Christy (Orlando), Regina (Sanford), and Steven (Winter Park). She was the loving grandmother to 7 grandchildren: Sydney, Nathan, Samantha, Olivia, Mikayla, Ian, and Aikorae. She is also survived by thousands of foster dogs that she saved.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Wesley E. Edmiston. Her parents Neal and Erillas Forbes and her youngest sister Lynn Scott.
Marie had a passion for Jesus and her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid seamstress and loved crafting and writing. She also loved Classic Country music and Gospel Hymns. She was instrumental in saving the lives of thousands of dogs through fostering.
In Lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to The Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. www.Bestfriends.org
Services will be on February 2, 2022 at 2 pm at First Baptist Church Orlando in the Henry Chapel. Refreshments will follow.
Her burial will be a small family gathering at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery where she will be buried with Wesley.
