Marie Elmaze Michel was born in Dame-Marie, Haiti to Yvonne Beauville & Theolus Michel on September 9th 1935. She also completed her primary education in Dame-Marie. On December 16th 1980 in Brooklyn New York, she met her soulmate and lifelong companion of 37 years, Jean-Baptiste St-Vil Noel (Zo).
While living in Haiti, she became a restaurant owner, micro loan lender, and merchant. When she moved to the United States, she worked for Gitano clothing company.
She was a very faithful servant of our Lord, who spent time in scripture and living her faith with the love and kindness she shown others. She has always given of herself unselfishly to help and care for others. She was a devoted mother who sacrificed all she had for her children, all her life. Her desire has always been to help each of her children to become faithful, strong, well educated, and responsible individuals of society.
