Marie Shaw

Marie Veronica Shaw, age 90 of Orlando passed away Sat., Sept. 10, 2005.

Born in New Rochelle, NY, she moved to Orlando in 1959 from Ayer, MA and worked at the old Cherry Plaza Hotel. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and charter member of the Beardall Walking Group. Her interests included gardening, traveling, and FSU Football. In 1982, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur W. Shaw, Major U.S. Army, Retired. She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Shaw; sons, Arthur J. (Patricia) Shaw and Edward A. Shaw, Ph.D; brother, Andrew A. Mecca; granddaughters, Kelly and Megan Shaw, all of Orlando; step children, Robert and Linda, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thur. Sept. 15th in the Chapel of Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd. Orlando. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service. in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Shaw to Catholic Charities, Cancer research, or the American Red Cross.
