Marina Betancur-Vidal, age 69, of Orlando, FL went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 26, 2021. She was born in Medellin, Colombia on January 19, 1952. She was greeted in Heaven by her parents, Antonio and Julia Betancur.
She is survived by her son, Mauricio Vidal, her daughter Liliana Vidal; and her five grandchildren: Mauricio, Christian, Giovanni, Isaiah and Elias.
Marina worked many different occupations during her lifetime, with the most recent being a School Crossing Guard with the Orange County Sheriff's Office. She enjoyed being around children and keeping them safe. She was awarded perfect attendance certificates and you would never hear her complain about her job, manning her post rain or shine and in the extreme Florida heat.
Marina was a happy person who was full of life and she will always be known for her contagious smile, laughter and sense of humor. She shared her energy everywhere she went. She had a heart of gold and she loved helping others, whether you were a longtime friend or someone she had just met. Her children and grandsons were the joy of her life. Marina will be remembered by her family and friends as a strong woman and a great friend. She will be missed greatly, but her memory will continue on in the many lives of those she loved.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 3:30 PM – 7:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Orlando Chapel.
