Marjorie K. Heckerman

March 20, 1926 — February 24, 2020

Born in Scranton, PA to her parents Anna and Michael Tode. The family moved to Bloomfield, NJ where she graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1944. She attended Farleigh Dickinson University in Rutherford, NJ and graduated in 1947.

In 1948, Marge was employed as a secretary for The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for 13 years. She married her husband Ronald (Pat) in 1959 and lived in Clifton, NJ for 32 years. She became a mother to her son Tod in 1961 and returned to the workforce in 1973 as the Parish Secretary for Saint Clare's Church in Clifton, NJ for two pastors; Msgrs. Kevin Flanagan and Brendan Madden for 18 years.

Marge and Pat retired to Palm Bay, FL in 1991 where they built their dream home. Upon her husband's passing in 1995, she moved in with her son Tod and his wife Laura already living in Orlando, FL. She made a life for herself over the next 25 years, living in Orlando, Lake Mary and finally in Sanford, FL.

She is predeceased by her brother, Lawrence E. Todd in 2007 and is survived by her son and her niece Karin A. Todd.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at St. Joseph Miller Street Church and Cemetery, 1425 Miller Street, Palm Bay, FL 32905-4284, where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
