Mark Douglas Adams

Mark Douglas Adams, beloved husband, father, uncle, and friend, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family and friends on February 23, 2024, at the age of 69. Mark bravely battled numerous health complications over the last few years, culminating in a four month hospital stay, where he showed considerable strength and resilience until the end.

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mark's life was a testament to love, kindness, and selflessness. He followed in his father's footsteps working as a well driller for many years, before changing careers and going to work for Orange County Facilities Management, retiring in 2021. Mark's devotion to his family was unwavering. He cherished his role as a husband, took immense pride in being a father to his daughter, and took loving care of his mother. Together, they shared countless memories filled with love and laughter.

Whether gardening, embarking on home improvement projects, or spending time with his family, Mark found joy in the simplicity of life. In addition to his many talents and interests, Mark was a gifted organist, bringing the beauty of music to those around him. His warm smile and quick wit endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

While his presence will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who love him. Mark is survived by his wife, Denise Adams; his daughter, Sarah O'Dell; his son-in-law, David O'Dell; and his mother, Helen Catalano. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Adams, and his sister, Brenda Cunningham.

A funeral will be held to celebrate Mark's life and honor his memory on Friday, March 1st, at Downey Church - 10201 E Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL 32817. A visitation will be at 3:00 pm, with the service to follow at 4:00 pm.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, March 3rd at 11:00 am at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 2420 Harrell Road, Orlando, FL 32817.
