Marlene Ann Wouda, 67 of Orlando passed away on Mon. Aug. 16, 2010. She is in her eternal home where she is forever in her Savior's arms and celebrating. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI and worked as a teacher and ran a dairy farm in Goshen, N.Y. and then moved the family to Central Florida in 1986. Marlene worked for the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra for 11 years.
She is survived by her children, Peter Wouda, Virginia Z. Grether, John Wouda, Alice Wouda and Harry Wouda; brothers and sisters, Jim Postma, Al Postma, Sid Postma, Shirley Hamilton, Lorraine Nederhoed, Daniel Postma, Mary Nederhoed, Dorothy Nederhoed, Carol Bowyer and Rich Postma; and 13 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, Aug. 20, 2010 in the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd. Orlando. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Sat. Aug. 21, 2010 in the Henry Chapel of First Baptist Church, Orlando, 3000 S. John Young Pky. Orlando 32805. The committal service will be held at 2:00 PM at Orlando Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to First Orlando Foundation at the above address in memory of Marlene Wouda.
