Marshall D. Dancy, Jr.

Marshall D. Dancy, Jr., age 92, of Maitland, Florida passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023.
He was born on December 3, 1930 in Greensboro, NC, son to his late parents, Lucille (Kelton) and Marshall Dee Dancy, Sr. On July 13, 1949, he married the former Marjorie Lee.
Marshall was a veteran of the United States Army, and was subsequently honorably discharged from the Army Reserves, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. He retired from United Telephone Company after 26 1/2 years of dedicated service.
Marshall spent his life serving others. He was always available when anyone needed help. Marshall served multiple years on the Board of Trustees at Asbury United Methodist Church. He also spent over 19 years as a committed volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, and did volunteer work at the Russell Home for Atypical Children.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Marjorie Dance of Maitland, their daughter, Lynn Marie Dancy of Maitland; and a sister, Shirley D. Cubbedge and her husband, Randall, of Winter Park.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 11:00 am at Asbury UMC, 220 W Horatio Ave, Maitland, Florida 32751 with Pastor Chris Jones officiating.
Visitation with the family will precede the service on Wednesday from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the church.
Interment with full military honors will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Winter Park, FL.
