Marshall C. Hamm, age 87, of Orlando, FL passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at his home in Orlando.
He was born on February 20, 1936 in Hanceville, AL, son to his late parents, Ollie M. and Alma Lee (Walker) Hamm. On July 29, 1957, he married the former Faira C. Ellerby.
As a devoted husband and patriarch of his ever-increasing family, he is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Faira Marshall, his daughter, Melony Cureton and her husband, Patrick, of Bowling Green, FL; his son, Marshall C. Hamm, II and his wife, Carolyn, of Merritt Island, FL; nine grandchildren, Cassie Watson, Kenneth Cross, Leo Cross, Aspen Cross, Sequoia Cross, Cedar Cross, Lynsey Hamm, Marshall C. Hamm, III, and McKenzie Hamm; eleven great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Italia, David Lampron, Zachary Watson, Faira Watson, Cheyenne Watson, Chevy Watson, Anna Cross, Melony Cross, Kenny Cross, Emily Cross, and Laurel Cross.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Paul J. Hamm.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 12:00 Noon at First Baptist Church of Orlando – Henry Chapel, 3000 S. John Young Parkway, Orlando, FL 32805, with Pastor Alan Kozy Officiating.
Visitation with the family will precede the service from 11:30 am – 12:00 Noon at the church.
Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando, FL.
A reception will be held after at Faith Hall, third floor, rooms C and F, First Baptist Church of Orlando at 2:00 pm. Some refreshments will be served.
