Martha Marie Smith

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Martha Marie Smith, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Martha was born on February 26, 1935 in Fitzgerald, Georgia and passed away peacefully on September 10, 2023 in Orlando, Florida.

Martha was a devoted wife to her wonderful husband, James E. Smith, for 71 years and a loving mother to her three children, Debra Cruz, Stephen Smith, and their late son, Michael Smith. Martha was also a cherished grandmother to her four granddaughters, Lexxi, Kimberly, Jessica, and Sarah, two grandsons, Joey and Mark, and six great grandchildren. She is survived by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Martha was devoted to her faith in God and her family. She was always willing to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on. Martha will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her generous spirit, and her unwavering faith.

The viewing for Martha will be held on September 17th, 2023 at 11:30 followed by a funeral service at 1:00 and graveside service after. We encourage everyone to join us for refreshments and fellowship after. The viewing and funeral will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 South Goldenrod Road, Orlando, Florida, 32822. She will then be buried at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Orlando, Florida.
