Mary Ann Batsch

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Ann Batsch, who left this world on June 9th 2024. Mary was born in 1957 in Georgia to William and Lula Pearl McLaurin. She grew up in Wade, North Carolina and attended New Hanover High School in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Mary was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Mary had a passion for gardening and flowers and was known for her kindness to everyone. She touched the lives of many with kindness, generosity, and sense of humor. Mary retired from Seminole County Public School System after providing 21 years of service as a Café Nutrition Manager and meals to thousands of students and staff.

Mary is survived by her husband, Daniel Batsch; children Joseph Batsch, Mary Girardi and Dan Batsch; grandchildren Hailey, Hunter, Bentley, Dusti, Sophia, and Ralph; great grandchildren Breanna and Raelynn and Sisters Violet and Betty. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Lula Pearl.

A visitation and viewing will be held on June 13th at Newcomers Funeral Home in Longwood, Florida. Her Service will follow on Friday June 14th also at Newcomers. In lieu of flower spreads, please send live flowers as Mary would want a beautiful garden in her remembrance.

Mary may be gone, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
