Mary Kathleen Rogers

Mary Kathleen Boyd Rogers was born March 5, 1920 in Waynesville, NC and died April 13, 2013 Winter Park, FL.
Kathleen grew up in the mountains of Western North Carolina and enjoyed a long and active life. Her 5 children; Linda Burns, Josephine Burns, Becky Hurt, Jack Jeffrey and George"Bo" Berli all live in Florida and were blessed with many years and great memories with their Mother. Kathy has 3 grandchildren, 4 great grand children and 4 great great grand children.
Kathleen was socially active throughout her life and belonged to many service clubs and organizations in Daytona Beach where she lived with her husband Clarence before he passed in 1996.
She had a favorite saying"If you are lucky enough to be in the mountains, you're lucky enough!" She will rest with her Mother, Father and 5 siblings in the Boyd Family Cemetery in the Western Carolina mountains. Memorial services in Orlando and NC will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to a local hospice or to Special Olympics.
