Mary Ellen Kissman

Mary Ellen was the first born child of Thomas J. and Mary H. (West) Lowry at Horace Harding Hospital in Queens, NY. She is predeceased by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Lowry (1975) (2008), grandparents Mr. and Mrs. William West (1949) (1978), Mr. and Mrs. William Lowry (1965) (1967) and younger brother, Robert "Bobby" Lowry (2019).

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert; daughter, Kelly Ann Pounds (Jeffry); son, Scott Kissman (Carrie); granddaughter, Emily Pounds and grandson Robert Pounds; Sister-in-laws, Maureen Lowry, Carol Lynn Varga (Peter); nieces and nephews from across the country include Thomas Lowry (Starla), Melanie Codina, April Leon (Arnold), Jill Concannon (Tommy), Tracy Linnane (Dan), Jeff Varga (Lee); great-nieces and great-nephews, Shawn Lowry (Maya), Melissa Blackwell, Brianna Nichols, Courtney Lowry, Travis Lowry (Adrianne), Collin Codina (Cheyann), Nora Concannon, Cristiano Codina, Jack Conconnan, Carlos Leon, Xavier Leon, Ronan Linnane, Lillian Varga, Emma Linnane, Rex Varga; great-great nieces, Violet Nichols, Ruby Nichols, Charlotte R. Codina.

Mary Ellen was an exuberant and loving person to all she met. She had boundless energy and generosity that was only matched by her impressive shoe collection. She was a fantastic dancer, was always up for an adventure and loved to entertain. She worked hard, played hard and most of all loved hard.

The past years have been cruel to her, but we will always remember her as the vital and extraordinary woman that she was.

Rest in peace with your immediate family and everyone that preceded and loved you.
