Mary Thompson Bell, 88, of Orlando, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2006 after a brief illness. She was born on September 19, 1917, in Muncie, Indiana to Irving A. and Bertha B. Thompson. Mrs. Bell graduated with a degree in education from Milwaukee State Teacher's College at the University of Wisconsin. She taught at Pine Hills Elementary School and retired in 1985 from Evans High School where she taught Bible Literature and English.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Robert P. Bell. She is survived by her sister, Ruth T. Aude of Clearwater, Florida and daughters Nancy Folds, Hiram, Georgia; Linda Rothwell, Miami, Florida, Cathy Melton and Susan Bell of Orlando, Florida. She is also survived by sons-in-law: Harold Folds, Emory Rothwell, and David Melton and grandchildren: Marc (LeAnne) and Alyssa Ebbert, Robert and Scott Rothwell, Bridget Rothwell Fischer (William), Brad and Greg Melton and eight great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Wednesday, January 18 at 4:00 p.m. in the Reformation Chapel at First Presbyterian Church of Orlando.
