Mary Longstreet Williams, age 78, of Kissimmee, passed on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at The Terrace of Kissimmee. She was the widow of the late Willie Williams.
Mary was born on August 4, 1941 in New Bern, NC, daughter of the late Walter and Lossie Mae (Williams) Longstreet. Mrs. Williams was a founding member of Antioch Church of God in Christ in Avon Park, Florida and attended Redeeming Word Christian Center International, Orlando, Florida. She served in many ministries and roles in church which include: Missionary, Chairman of the Purity Class, Church Choir Member, Sewing Circle, Pastor's Aid, and Church Secretary. Mrs. Williams was also an educator of 32 years in Highlands County, Florida. She was well known in her community as a skilled baker and seamstress. Mrs. Williams also loved shopping and traveling.
Mary is survived by her only child, a daughter, Gale Beasley and her husband, Garry, of Kissimmee; two grandchildren, Jalen Beasley and Brice Kelly, two great-grandchildren, Skylar Kelly and Jakhai Kelly; three nephews, Terrence Jones, Douglas Harris and Douglas Brooks; a niece, Juwunna Harris; and a sister-in-law, Minnie Harris.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lossie Longstreet, husband, Willie; and two brothers, William Harris and Walter Longstreet.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 3:00 pm at Redeeming Word Christian Center International, 6208 S. Orange Avenue, Orlando, with Pastors Langston and Janine Dupont officiating.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 16, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 854 Memorial Drive, Avon Park, Florida 33825.
