Mary Jacqueline "Jackie" Wolters, nee Bruley, 83, passed peacefully in her sleep at home on January 25, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Jackie was born on January 6, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan, to Jessie and Raymond Bruley, and was raised in Orlando, Florida, attending St. James Catholic School and Bishop Moore Catholic High School. She married the love of her life, Raymond C. Wolters on December 27, 1959, at St. James Cathedral. Jackie was a devoted wife and mother of six children, and an active member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Her passion to help others was reflected in the activities she participated in through her church and local community for over 55 years, such as the Food Pantry, Meals on Wheels, Coalition for the Homeless, the Prison Ministry and Cursillo.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Allan Bruley.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Raymond C. Wolters, sons Patrick A. Wolters, Christopher R. Wolters (Sandra), Brian C. Wolters, Gregory C. Wolters (Diane), Jeffrey W. Wolters (Cathy), daughter Mary E. Colton (Jeff), sisters Sharon Bruley, Kathy Herbert (Donald) and Robin Abbott, sister-in-law Nancy Bruley, 13 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Jackie had a beautiful relationship with the Lord and a special devotion to the Blessed Mother. Her kindness, joyful spirit and bright smile were contagious and will live on in our hearts forever. We lost an angel, while Heaven gained one.
