Maryann O'Connor

Mary Ann Thomas, 84, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017. She was born in Detroit, MI, to the late Lloyd and Lillian Thomas. She graduated from Homer Community High school in 1950. Shortly after her family relocated to Miami, FL. It was there she married Robert Meagher and raised her family. Maryann had a successful career as a hairstylist and had her own salon, later in life she joined and retired from the United States Postal Service. Retiring to Bull Shoals, AK she made many friends and enjoyed the company of her dog Swayze. Her love of animals and nature were unsurpassed. She was a talented artist and a nature enthusiast, she had a huge heart and was always helping others in need. She was predeceased by her sons, Brian P. Meagher and Daniel J. Meagher, her brothers, Lloyd Thomas and James Thomas. Maryann is survived by her daughter, Virginia (Andy) Latimer of Deltona, FL, her son, Timothy Meagher of Miami, FL and daughter, Kelly (Rob) Crouse of Deltona, FL. Her grandchildren Angela (Michael) Medeiros, Robert (Misti) Latimer, Crystal (Matt) Popolo, Brian (Kathy) Sessums, Amber (Robert Collins) Meagher, Heather Brandenburg, Melissa Meagher and Hailey Meagher, along with 10 great-grandchildren.
