Maureen Kathlyn Lawrence

Maureen Kathlyn (née Smith) Lawrence was born in Manhattan, NY and grew up on Long Island. She married Leslie Lawrence and had 2 sons Craig and Steve Lawrence. Her parents retired to Lake Mary in the 1950s when Lake Mary Blvd was a dirt road, Maureen followed in 1960 with her 2 boys. She married John Richard Miller in 1961 and had Michael in 1964. Maureen had a career with the telephone company retiring from AT&T. Maureen enriched the life of those who she came in contact with. She was a very artistic and a talented seamstress. She traveled to many countries with various friends in her retirement years. She also stayed active with the Altamonte Springs Women's Club and gardening at her home that she lived in for 50 years, in Winter Springs.

She is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Catherine (née Holmes) Smith, brother Arthur Smith, and her sons Steve Lawrence and Craig Lawrence. She is survived by her son Michael Cohn, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Winter Park on Wednesday February 28, 2024 at 11:00am
