Maurice Viscuso

Maurice J. Viscuso, age 66 of Orlando passed away Monday, February 27, 2006 after a 13 month battle with lung cancer. Born in Kearny, N.J. he moved to Central Florida in 83. He retired early from IBM after 35 years of devoted service, then worked as an Assistant VP Programmer/Anaylst for Sun Trust Bank in Orlando, FL before retiring a second time in January 2005. He served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1961.
He was the beloved husband of Mary Joan Viscuso, devoted father of Tina Marie Lauder (Viscuso) and also survived by loving brother, Jeff Viscuso and sister Mary Suckiel.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 PM on Saturday, March 4, 2006 in the Chapel of Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM prior to the service. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL on Monday, March 6, 2006 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Orlando c/o Mike Mangan, 1400 S. Orange Ave. M.P. 700, Orlando, FL 32806 in memory of Maurice J. Viscuso for the research and treatment of lung cancer patients.
