Melanie Goff Lumpkins

Melanie Goff Lumpkins, who lived in Winter Springs, FL passed away at her home on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 69 years old. 

Melanie had been married to Scott Lumpkins for 42 years, they have a daughter, Alyssa Abache and grandson, Abram Abache. Melanie was a natural born Floridian and was proud of that fact. Melanie was born at Live Oak, FL and has lived in the Metro Orlando area for over 57 years.

She loved all the outdoor activities that Florida has to offer, fishing, camping, hiking, swimming and picnics. Her favorite place in the world was to be at the beach, it gave her so much rest and peace we made sure to have at least a week vacation at the beach every year. Melanie loved family and would be sure to go to family events and celebrations such as holidays and family reunions. If someone decided to have a cookout at a local park, she was one of the first to volunteer to cook something and meet everyone there. Melanie graduated from Oak Ridge High School in Orlando and had attended Valencia Community College in Orlando as well. She worked for over 20 years at Quest Diagnostics, her last position was Logistics Supervisor. Melanie loved her job and would routinely volunteer for extra projects and seminars. Melanie was a member of Tuskawilla United Methodist Church, she loved her church family.

Melanie is survived by her husband, Scott Lumpkins, daughter Alyssa Abache, grandson Abram Abache, brother Larry Goff, sister-in-law Mari Echevarria, brother-in-law Martin Lumpkins, brother-in-law Ellis Lumpkins, brother-in-law Steve Lumpkins, 7 nieces, 4 nephews and 26 grand nieces and nephews. Melanie was preceded in death by father Hinton L. Goff, mother Shriley A. Goff, father-in-law Ellis V. Lumpkins and mother-in-law Elizabeth F. Lumpkins.

A Memorial Service will be held at Tuskawilla United Methodist Church, 3925 Red Bug Lake Road, Casselberry, FL 32707 on Saturday, April the 5th, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., 407-699-8155. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Tuskawilla United Methodist Church.
